John Logan Booz was born August 3, 1868, in Hancock County, Illinois, died May 15, 1942, in Tennessee, McDonough County, Illinois.

Catharine "Katie" Patricia Sennett was born in Illinois about 1871, the daughter of John and Anna Sennett, both originally from Ireland.  Anna Sennett's maiden name is found as Monihan and what looks like Mulliha_?_.

John and Catharine were married at Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois, on January 13, 1892.  Their witnesses were Frank Collins and Frona Way, who were married on the same day by a different clergyman, with John and Katie Booz as witnesses.

The Booz children were:

i. Vernice Gale Booz, born about 1893, died April 29, 1950, in Hancock County.  "Vernie" was a teacher at Woodville School near Joetta in 1915.  She married Frank Burton Ruggles, son of Charles Oscar Ruggles and Jennetta Anderson, about 1915.  Two children: Kathryn J. "Kay" Ruggles, born April 2, 1919, died January 12, 2004; Charles L. Ruggles, born April 19, 1920, died April 13, 1991.
 
ii. Bernard Franklin Booz, born March 6, 1895, died in May of 1976 probably in or near Macomb, McDonough County.  (The following is tentative: he married Zella E. Fisher, daughter of Charles H. and Florence E. (Ashby) Fisher.  Zella was born April 4, 1897, died in February of 1986 probably in or near Macomb, McDonough County.)
 
iii. Infant son Booz.  Referred to as Bill in his father's obituary, the tombstone for this little one at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tennessee Township, is said to bear the following: M. Dale Booz, Son of J. L. and C. P., Died Aug. 8, 1896, Aged 4 Ms., 3 Ds.  This calculates to a birth date of April 5, 1896.
 
iv. Darrell Booz, born July 15, 1901, probably in Tennessee Township, McDonough County. He died in October of 1981 in Blandinsville, McDonough County.  He married Lela Maude McClure, daughter of Amos Lee McClure and Mary Matilda Gordon.  Lela was born October 9, 1901, died in May of 1972 at Blandinsville.
 
v. Mary Darlos Booz, born April 1, 1905, in Tennessee Township, died May 31, 2002, in Carthage, Hancock County.  Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb.
