| Catharine Wise, the daughter of Catharine, known as Kittie, became the second wife of Thomas, a native of Fountain Green Township and a member of the large family of Hickerson Wright and Cynthia Donohue, was eighteen years older than Kittie, and had led an active life that included multiple trips to California and some years there engaged in mining. By the time Thomas and Kittie were married, he had settled down to farming and raising stock on his sizeable farm in Fountain Green Township. Thomas and Kittie had two children before Kittie's early death. Follow the link to Thomas for further information on their children. November 8, 1889, Page 8, Column 2 DIED.-----At the home 1½ miles southeast of Fountain Green, Ill., Thursday, 3 o'clock a.m., Nov. 7th, 1889, of consumption, Mrs. Thomas G. Wright, aged 35 years and 15 days. The lady's maiden name was Kittie Wise. She was born in Ohio, and was married to Mr. Wright Aug. 18th, 1881 [sic]. Two children were born to them, Thomas H. aged seven years and Gracie aged four years. These dear little ones are too young to know the mother want. Her parents made their home with Mr. Wright, for several years, but died, the mother first, and father a year or so ago. Three sisters, who live in distant states, and two brothers who reside in this vicinity survive her. Mr. Wright has the sympathy of all in his great loss. The burial will occur Saturday at 11 o'clock at Majorville.
