Seldon married Edna A. Williams on February 16, 1888, at Carthage, Hancock County, Illinois. Witnesses to the marriage were O. F. Berry and Mrs. L. A. Cutler.  Marriage Documents

Edna Williams was born February 17, 1863, in Hancock County, probably in Hancock Township. Her parents were James Williams and Martha Owings, originally from Kentucky and Indiana, respectively.

Seldon died April 10, 1934, in Fountain Green Township.  Edna died December 5, 1952, in McDonough County, near Macomb.  They are both buried at Majorville Cemetery, Hancock County, Illinois.

The children of Seldon Seward and Edna Williams were:

i.	Frank H. Seward, born November 24, 1888, probably in Fountain Green Township, Hancock County. In 1915 Frank married Ruth L. Lutyens of Tampico, Whiteside County, Illinois, born about 1890, daughter of George H. Lutyens and Carrie M. Breckenridge.  Frank later married Esther Swanson. In 1917 Frank signed up for Selective Service.  He was 28, married, working as a laborer for Charles Haigh at RR3, LaHarpe.  His home address was Fountain Green.  The registrar described him as being of medium height and build, with blue eyes and brown hair. ii.	Grace Ella Seward, born in 1893, died about the first week of March in 1918.  Burial at Majorville Cemetery.
iii.	Martha O. Seward, born July 10, 1902, died in March of 1980.  She married Harley G. Stevens when she was about 23 years old.  Harley was born July 19, 1904, died March 22, 1991.  Census listings
