![]() Chloe B. Callihan was born about 1893, probably in the village of Tennessee, McDonough County, Illinois, to She married Winfred C. Thomas from Knoxville, Tennessee, son of James Thomas and Hattie Huffaker. Winfred died in March of 1971, at Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois. Chloe and Winfred's daughter: i. Margaret E. Thomas, born about 1920, probably in Knoxville, Tennessee.
When Winfred registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in Knoxville, he provided the following information: NAME IN FULL Winfred C. Thomas AGE 23

What is not clearly apparent is the year Chloe and Winfred married. He was born in 1893, she was born about 1893, and the 1930 census stated they were both 26 when first married. The above document from 1917 indicated Winfred was married at that time.

November 10, 1920 Mrs. Thomas Callihan and daughter, Mrs. Chloe Thomas of Knoxville, Tenn., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Day. Mr. and Mrs. Day gave a family dinner in their honor. Mr. and Mrs. Day's children and grandchildren who live near the home were all present. This was a very happy reunion of relatives.
