LINCOLN CEMETERY - LINCOLN CATHOLIC CEMETERY HANCOCK COUNTY, ILLINOIS |
| To data originally drawn from Illinois census listings, marriage and death records, and tombstone inscriptions, we are pleased to add information shared by Gretchen Flynn, great-granddaughter of James and Jane Frances. Flynn-Wybrant researchers are invited to leave a message for her on the Don't miss the marvelous portrait of Jane Frances from Gretchen's collection. ![]() The date of death on his tombstone has been previously interpreted as both Apr. 6, 1854, and Aug. 16, 1854. Having the benefit of viewing the tombstone after it was cleaned, we believe the date is Apr. 16, 1854. This photo was taken in 2004 by A. J. Bourn. Click on the image to see a larger view. James Flynn and Jane Frances Wybrant were married in Ireland prior to 1844. Jane Frances Wybrant was born about 1814 in Sheeanamore, Wicklow County, Ireland. Based on census records, there was apparently a familial tie between Jane and Flynn family records indicate Jane may have been the daughter of James W. Wybrant and Sarah Doyle.
Jane Frances Wybrant Flynn died there in 1901 and was buried at the North Platte Cemetery.
