It appears Mancell and Margell may have been twins. Mancell was listed in the 1850 Federal Census of Illinois, but not in the 1856 Iowa State Census. We don't know if he died in Illinois or Iowa. |

The Hadley Cemetery, just north and east of Fountain Green, has been despoiled for many years. This tombstone was not found on a visit there in 1999. Fortunately, the inscription was recorded in 1961. Son of A. A. & L. Beebe Died Aug 20,1849 Age l yr. 8 mo. 27 days |
