Condition of Ed Kimbrough remains the same.  He is home from the hospital.

Mrs. Ida Hocker is still a patient at the St. Francis hospital, Macomb.

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Hartley were Sunday dinner guests of Donald Hartleys.  Larry Hartley is much better after his recent illness.

Marion Weaver celebrated his birthday.  His mother prepared a delicious dinner with decorated birthday dcake, ice cream and strawberries.  Mr. and Mrs. Frakes and Connie Elaine of Fandon were guests.

Rains have kept farmers from their fields and gardens.

The Glen Vance children entertained the Glen Lunt children of Carthage with other children, Tuesday.  Refreshments were served.

Mrs. Ida Rexroat, Mary Burrow, Mabelle Eakle, Mrs. Husband and sons, Mrs. Nellie Clare Williams, Mrs. Odra Shelor, Robert and Brian of Colchester, Mrs. Ralph Johnson, Oak Grove, Mrs. Mary Day and son, Mr. and Mrs. Rensley of Keokuk were recent viistors [sic] at the Furchtbar sisters' home.  Miss Ida Jackson and girls called Sunday evening.

Mrs. Grant [Grandt] of Alaska is visiting her daughter, Mrs. John Siepel.  They entertained for her at Sunday dinner.
