| HANCOCK COUNTY, ILLINOIS FAMILIES NEWS MEMORABILIA |
| John Thomas Fletcher was born in the heart of Kentucky, probably in either Madison or Garrard County, on January 28, 1852. His parents,
Lenora Eliza Savidge, daughter of John and Lenora were married on November 22, 1874, at her parents' home, by Reverend Bushnell of the Congregational Church. The wording on the license appears to say they were married at "said Savages". Their family was blessed with the addition of an adopted daughter, whom they named:
John and Lenora farmed in Hancock Township until John's early death, which occurred November 26, 1907. Lenora then made her home with Minnie and Godfrey. Lenora died August 25, 1927, in Hancock Township. Both she and John are buried at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Colchester. |
