*There were also columns for Colour and Free or Slave.  There was one Black person, designated above by [Black] following her name, on page 315.  There were no slaves reported on this schedule, so that column has also been omitted.

There are a number of spelling errors in the Cause of Death descriptions (reproduced above as best we can determine), a negligible fault.  Wesley Williams faithfully wrote with a strong hand making his several hundred pages much easier to read than many other enumerators.

For the sake of brevity, state names or abbreviations have been replaced with the present-day, two-character postal code abbreviations.
