Majorville Church and Cemetery
Hancock Township, Hancock County, Illinois
1999

Located in the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of section 2 in Hancock Township.  Pictured is the second structure, dedicated on August 16, 1901.  Originally known as the Hancock Church, members changed it to the Majorville M. E. Church to honor Major John Williams, the person recognized as the greatest benefactor.  The Major, his second wife, Letitia, and several descendants lie in the peaceful cemetery awaiting Judgement Day.

Whispering Hope
