William Harry Cartwright was born in Henderson County, Illinois, the son of Elmer E. Cartwright and Minnie H. Hoffman.  He died June 12, 1962, and was buried at LaHarpe Township Cemetery, joining his wife, the former Millie Marie Wright, and infant son, Max, both of whom preceded him in death.

Max William Cartwright was born May 23, 1919, died May 27, 1919, in Lomax Township, Henderson County, Illinois.

Rites for LaHarpe Woman Held Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Marie Cartwright, 66, of LaHarpe were held Friday afternon [sic] in the Banks funeral hme [sic].

Mrs. Cartwright died Oct. 21 in a Jacksonville hospital.

A daughter of Mansel and Mary Belle (Bullock) Wright, she was born near LaCrosse, Jan. 10, 1887.  She attended LaHarpe high school and on April 16, 1913 was married at Galesburg to Harry Cartwright.  They farmed in the LaHarpe vicinity until their retirement to a home in LaHarpe last year.

Mrs. Cartwright was a member of the Christian church and very active in its work.

Surviving are the widower; one daughter, Miss Mary Eileen Cartwright, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Woolverton, Misses Bessie and Jessie Wright, all of LaHarpe.  One son in infancy and one brother, Junius Wright, preceded her in death.
