Son of C. E. & P. M. BEEBE DIED Jan. 5, 1859 Aged 18 Ys. 10 Ms. 29* Ds. |
| Calvin Beebe was born about February 7*, 1840, in New York. He was the son of Calvin Eaton Beebe and Prudence M. Starks, and the brother of Alanson Beebe.
In 1850 Calvin, Prudence and their children were counted in Chatham, Columbia County, New York. After young Calvin's death in 1859, Alanson, wife and daughter were counted in Fountain Green Township in the 1860 Federal Census. The whereabouts of the elder Calvin and Prudence in 1860 is unclear. They had returned to New York by 1870 - an uncommon move for former residents of the Fountain Green area. *From a reading taken many years ago, the number of days was interpreted as 29. Further inspection is needed because this image suggests that the second digit was not a 9. |
