| Born in Carter County, Tennessee, Hattie McInturff was the daughter of Daniel and Harriet McInturff, both natives of Tennessee.
She was first married on February 18, 1875, in Linn County, Missouri, to Robert Rush. ![]() According to the 1880 Federal Census Hattie was a widow, but it must be noted that entries of widowhood are often unreliable. Robert and Hattie had three children:
