| Fannie George was born July 21, 1848 (date calculated from tombstone inscription) in Virginia. She was the daughter of Shortly after Fannie's birth the family left Virginia and traveled west. In 1850 they were located in Concord Township, Ross County, Ohio. Around 1855 they moved on to Hire Township, McDonough County, Illinois, where the elder Georges spent the rest of their lives. On February 7, 1867, Fannie married Fannie and Daniel became the parents of six children, three of whom did not survive. These babies are apparently buried near Fannie. Follow the link to Daniel for complete information on their children, as well as marriage documents. Fannie died June 2, 1877, and was buried at Friendship Cemetery, McDonough County. Daniel, who married twice more, died May 10, 1926, and was buried at Majorville Cemetery, Hancock County, Illinois. |
