JAMES ANDERSON
Died Mar. 26, 1864
Aged 64 Ys. 23 Ds.

James Anderson and Rachel Justice were married in Ross County, Ohio, on May 16, 1820.  We believe they were residents of Ross County until sometime between 1850 and 1860, at which time they moved west and settled in Tennessee Township, McDonough County, Illinois.

James died in 1864 and was buried at Friendship Cemetery in Tennessee Township.

We have not located Rachel in 1870.  In 1880 she was making her home with her son, William. We do not know when or where Rachel died or where she was buried.

Two of the Anderson children, tentatively identified, were:

i. William J. Anderson, born about 1821 in Ross County, Ohio.  He died after June 1, 1900.

ii. John W. Anderson, born about 1827 in Ross County, Ohio.
