Lucretia Lank* Dau. of: b: Apr 16, 1808 New York m: Nov 7, 1830 d: aft June 1, 1870 Weatherford, Parker Co, TX burial: City Greenwood Cemetery, *This is the spelling of Lucretia's maiden name as passed down in family records. This surname does not appear in any New York census, which suggests that this is a variation of the actual spelling. Our research for John in years prior to 1850 has been stymied. There is an enticing census record in 1840 in Macedon Township, Wayne County, New York. The head of household was "John D. Beckwett", age 30-39, occupation checked in the "Learned professions and engineers" column; one female, age 5-9; one female, age 30-39. On the same census page was the household of "John Leik", in which the eldest male was age 40-49. In 1850 there were two households in Macedon Township headed by men whose surname was Lake.
