My Dear Aunts
We received your kind and welcome letter wich we were glad to here from you all enjoying good health wich leaves us at present. We are going riding this evening if we can get the buggy. I wish I could see the baby and Julius.
Aunt Jessie and Mama and I went to see Mrs. Meyers baby I have saw it 2. Some people say it looks like Cora and others say it looks like Willie but I think it looks like Cora more than Willie. It looked like rain this morning but is clearing up now. Mama got a letter from Lev and Aunt Kitty this morning. I send Julius some little pictures in this letter. We have a new cow and calf the little calf is mine I have to red calves now both of them are jersey calves. Papa brought home a bird the name of it is a snipe. We killed it and ate it. Yesterday the cat was trying to catch a snipe and I hollowed for Aunt Jessie to come and catch one that was in the yard and I taken it over to Mrs. Culpepper were Mama was at and mama said it was a snipe and I put it in a cage and give it something to eat. Mama said she did not know how it got in the yard for it ____ in the water and lives on ____ it was going to dye this morning. I put it out of the cage and it ran all over the yard and I dont know what became of it.
Aunt Jessie said she will write soon. Mama has such pretty curtains she is going to put them up tomorrow. I have no more to write I remain as your loving Neice
