NAMES CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

The Meridian Building and Loan association directors, meeting in the office, Kidder building Tuesday, elected Simon A. Klein, prominent businessman, civic and social leader, as board chairman.  Chairman Klein has been on the board since the association was organized 30 years ago.

The new chairman has been loan committee chairman for many years.  He is one of Meridian and East Mississippi’s most outstanding citizens.  His contributions to this city and section in business, industrial and other services has marked him as one of the leading residents.
