According to his marker in Antis Cemetery Jacob died in 1869.  In the 1870 Federal Census, "Amelia", was living with what may have been her daughter Anna (probably Rosanna), in Altoona, 2nd Ward, Post Office Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, enumerated on the 24th of June (all birthplaces were listed as Pennsylvania; the James and Margaret Dinwiddie relationship is not known (possibly her daughter Margaret), however, George C. and Elizabeth (Bottenberg) Gwinner named their oldest son, David Dinwiddie Gwinner):

5.1.6.1 William Bottenberg  was born in about 1831 in Pennsylvania.  William did marry and was listed in the 1860 Federal Census of 2nd Ward Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, recorded on about the 14th of June(there was no information listed on this page i.e. post office, county etc., all data and the date was taken from the previous page):

There is a William "Bottenberg" listed in the Roll of Honor: Civil War Union Soldiers, Volume VII, Soldiers Buried in Annapolis National Cemetery:

Date of Muster: September 8, 1863 for 3 years.  Company recruited at Camp Frankford (also known as the 117th Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers).

He may have also fathered a daughter, there is an Amelia Bottenberg, date of birth listed as 10 September 1860, in Pennsylvania's Soldiers' - Orphan Schools, page 374 date of admission 1 September 1868 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.


5.1.6.1.2 Mary J. Bottenberg, was born in about 1832 in Pennsylvania.

5.1.6.1.3 Eliza A. Bottenberg, was born in about 1836 in Pennsylvania.

5.1.6.1.4 Elizabeth Bottenberg, was born in about 1840 in Pennsylvania.  At the bottom of the cover page of the Trout Family and Related Families.... manuscript was printed the following:
"Copy from original, by Myron W. Gwinner, Harrisburg, Pa. (great-grandson of Elizabeth Bottenburg (1174), who married George C. Gwinner)"
"George Gwiner", a blacksmith, age 24, single, was listed as the head of household in the 1860 Federal Census of Snyder Township, Post Office Tyrone City, Blair County, Pennsylvania.  Also in the 1860 household were his parents, Henry and Teressa Gwiner, ages 74 and 59 respectively, who both listed their birthplace as "Stugart".  Captain George C. Gwinner  served in Company A, 205 Pennsylvania Infantry (he also is listed as serving in Company E, 40th Pennsylvania Reserve Infantry, from June 21, 1861 to his discharge date of January 13, 1863 and in the Unassigned Pennsylvania, as a Corporal 2nd Lieutenant).  After his death Elizabeth did file for a widow's pension, the units listed were "E 40 Pa. Inf." and "Capt. A 205 Pa. Inf."; date of record 2 July 1900, filed in Missouri.

I have not been able to locate Elizabeth and George in 1870.  Their sons Ard and David were both born there, David listed his birth in 1900 as February 1869 in Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth and her husband George C. Gwinner were living in Moreau Township, Moniteau County, Missouri, ED# 200, page 393A, enumerated on the 3rd of June (written in the margin of the page was "Village of Clarksburg"; Ard, David and John had all attended school in the past year):

In 1900, David and Gertrude had started their family and was recorded in the 1900 Federal Census of Tipton City, Willow Fork Township, Moniteau County, Missouri, ED# 92, sheet 4B, address Morgan Street (house numbers not recorded), enumerated on the 7th of June (David and Gertrude both stated that they had been married for 5 years; Gertrude stated that she had given birth to 2 living children):

5.1.6.1.4.2.2 David D. Gwinner, Jr., was born on 16 March 1898 in Missouri and died on 21 August 1906.  He is buried in Tipton Masonic Cemetery in Willow Fork Township, Moniteau County, Missouri.

5.1.6.1.4.6.2 Clarence F. Gwinner, was born on 21 September 1920 in California and died on 29 August 1977 in San Bernardino, California at age 56 (California Death Index).

5.1.6.1.7 Margaret E. Bottenberg, was born in about 1846 in Pennsylvania.  She is possibly the "Maggie Dinwiddie", wife of James enumerated in the 1870 census (see above).

5.1.6.1.8 Permelia Bottenberg, was born in about 1848 in Pennsylvania.

5.1.6.1.9 Clara Bottenberg, was born in about 1853 in Pennsylvania.  An additional note--I did find and photograph a marker for Clara or Cora V. Bottenberg, wife of L.C. Carmany, 1852-1872, in Antis Cemetery, however, the image is very poor and the stone was very worn.  They were not married before 1870, she was listed in the household of her brother-in-law and sister, Price and Mary J. Johnson in Altoona, 1st Ward, Blair County, Pennsylvania at age 17 in the 1870 census on the 13th of June (see above).
