She married Nathan Tripp (note: Samantha is listed as "invalid" in the 1870 census). They had no children.

He is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Climax Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. He married Mary Emma Forbush on 6 October 1878, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Mary died before 1900. William continued his father's farming operation in Pavillion Township. Their son was:

Charles married Viola Lindsley on 8 May 1883. Viola was born on 23 March 1867 and died on 4 April 1962 and is also buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery. Their children were:

Emma married in Adelbert Webster 1881. He was born on 8 February 1851 and died on 19 February 1923 and is also buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery. Their children were:

George farmed in Wakeshma Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Note: the 1900 Federal Census does not list George's children, Floyd and Nellie, of his first marriage in his household.
