Aaron David Soule was the son
of Aaron Soule, born on 5 March 1782, in Middleboro, Massachusetts, whom
died around 1840, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. He married Elizabeth
Delano in about 1808, in Woodstock, Massachusetts. Elizabeth died
in 1812, in Jay, New York.
Family folklore as recalled by Aaron and Elizabeth Harrison Soule's great granddaughter, Hettie Soule Keldgord (1889-1989) is as follows:
One story is that Aaron David walked from Rye, New York to Kalamazoo County, Michigan, when he was about 20 years old and it took him 6 weeks. The second story is that his family moved to Ohio when he was a small boy, and that, in later years, the family moved from Ohio to Michigan by oxcart, but one of the oxen died, at which time Aaron yoked his cow beside the surviving ox and that he walked to Michigan. (This would have been when Aaron moved in 1834, along with his brother-in-law, Joseph Harrison II and family, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Fred (Hannah Harrison) Sager's families).Aaron took care of a Robert and Mary Soule, who were buried in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and would have been the age of his parents, unsure of the relationship. Aaron and Betsey were farmers in Climax, Michigan and died well respected citizens of that community. The Keldgord family records have Aaron and Betsey both passing away on April 6th, 1885.
Aaron Soule, was the son of John Soule (the 4th), born on 23 December 1748 in Middlexes, Massachusetts and died on 1 November 1804, in Middlesex, Massachusetts. He married Priscilla Simmons on 8 October 1772, she was born in 1751. (Aaron David Soule I's grandparents.)
John Soule (the 4th), was the son of John Soule III born on 13 April 1705, in Middleboro, Massachusetts, and died there on 19 February 1751. He married Mary Leach. (Aaron David Soule I's great grandparents.)
John Soule III, was the son of John
Soule II, born in 1675, in Duxbury, Massachusetts and died on 19 May 1743.
He married Martha Tinkham on 8 December 1701, in Middleboro, Massachusetts,
she was born in 1678, and died on 16 February 1758, in Middleboro, Massachusetts.

great grandparents.)
John Soule II, was the son of John Soule I, born in 1632, in Duxbury, Massachusetts and died there prior to 14 November 1707. In 1654, he married Rebecca Simmons, she was born in 1638, in Duxbury, and died 1665/6 in Duxbury. They had 9 children. (Aaron David Soule I's great great great grandparents.)
John Soule I, was the son of George
Soule, born circa 1593-1600, in Eckington, England and died January 1680,
in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He had 9 children, served as Mayor and
Justice of the Peace, and died with considerable property. He married Mary
Beckett (Buckett) prior to 1626 in Massachusetts. Mary was
born on 17 January 1599 in England
and died on 16 December 1676, in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
There is some speculation, within
the family, that George and Mary probably knew each other while living
in England, and that they became engaged there, but encountered some societal
or family opposition and, by pre arrangement, came to America to be married.
George came to America abroad the Mayflower as a servant to the Edward
Winslow family. He signed the Mayflower Compact. (Aaron David Soule
