Harrison, William: Leg. Son Benjamin; son William, tract bought of William Davis and one bought of John Chapman; son John, my house in Smithfield, occupied by Seth Pointer; son Henry; daughter Sarah Driver; daughter Ann Allmand; daughter Mildred; daughter Elizabeth; daughter Lucy; granddaughter Martha Fiveash; wife Elizabeth Harrison.  Ex., brother Henry Harrison. D. October 11, 1762.  R.  November 4, 1762.  Wit: Richard Hardy, Robert Johnston, Thomas Whitfield.
 

From “Isle of Wight, Virginia Deeds, 1750-1782:
 
1 June 1751… Petition of Thomas Whitfield and wife, Mary Whitfield, and John Chapman and wife Jordan Chapman…petition to divide inherited land (whereas William Harrison, late of Isle of Wight, decd., died seized of 1,000 acres in Newport Parish which was willed to said Harrison by William Bressie on 9 June 1701.  Mary Whitfield and Jordan Chapman were said Harrison’s Coheirs.  Whitfield is to receive the upper part and Chapman is to receive the lower part of the land.

10 February 1753…William Davis and wife, Katherine Davis, of Newport Parish to William Harrison of the same…100 acres called “Round Hill” near Pagan Creek (except 30 acres which was sold to Nicholas Casey) which is the land said Davis bought from Sarah Murry which she had bought from George Murry…also-?-acres which said Davis bought from John Murry.

3 October 1754…John Meacom and wife, Elizabeth Meacom, to John Hyndman…100 acres (being land willed by Edward Brantly, Sr. on 30 March 1688 to his daughter, Mary Brantley, and it descended to her son, John Deberry, as her Heir and he sold it to Thomas Royall on 4 May 1716 and his son, Thomas Royall, sold it to William Harrison on 22 January 1739 who then sold it to the said John Meacom on 2 November 1749) adjoining Ashen Swamp and Phillip Brantley.

5 August 1767…William Harrison of Newport Parish in Isle of Wight and wife, Ann Harrison, to Charles Shield of Nottoway Parish in Southampton County…60 acres in Newport Parish adjoining Thomas Whitfield and Henry Casey (being the land William Harrison, decd., father of the said William Harrison, bought from William Davis).

2 July 1768…John Hodges and wife, Elizabeth Hodges, to Joseph Cutchin…100 acres on a branch of Pagan Creek (being the land that said John Hodges and son, John Hodges, do live on) adjoining Lewis Hatton, John Goodgrich, Jr. and Valentine Jenkins (50 acres of the land was bought by said Hodges from William Harrison and Benjamin Harrison on 5 April 1755 and the other 50 acres descended to him at the death of his mother, Mary Hodges).
