The descendants of Jemima (Harrison) and Irving Dix, family data, photos and obituaries submitted by Gary Dix, who also has a great Dix/Harrison webpage with additional photos. Jemima was the daughter of Nathan and Anna (Botkin) Harrison.

Irving Dix apparently died prior to the 1880 census, Irving and Jemima had lived in Steele County, Minnesota (1870 Federal Census), then apparently moved to Iowa. From the 1880 Federal Census of Valley Township, Polk County, Iowa:

Fred Dix's wife is unknown, all of his children listed their mother's birthplace as Indiana. Jemima died on 5 June 1900. Although her death was not recorded in Walworth County, her probate record was. From a Walworth County, Wisconsin Historical Society volunteer:

Jemima owned property in Genoa Junction: Lots #15, 16 and part of 19 lying on the West side of the Kenosha, Rockford and Rock Island Railroad, and Freeman's addition to the village of Genoa Junction.
(13.5.10.1) Fred E. Dix, was born in August 1861 in Wisconsin. In the 1910 Federal Census of Bloomfield Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin, ED# 133, Fred E. Dix, widowed, age 48, occupation farmer "Cabbage Farm", was living with his son, Clyde, age 18, born in Wisconsin, occupation day laborer. Irving Dix, age 22, was working nearby on the Elmer Strickland farm, as a "hired hand". In the 1920 Federal Census of Bloomfield Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin, ED# 144, Fred was living alone, widowed, age 58, occupation farmer. The children of Fred Dix and unknown were:

Sanderson in her mother's probate record in June of 1900, her place of residence was listed as Pardeeville, Columbia County, Wisconsin, however....they were recorded in the 1900 Federal Census of Beaver Dam Town, Dodge County, Wisconsin, ED# 82, sheet 2B (Anna and William both stated that they had been married for 6 years; Anna stated that she had given birth to 2 living children):

Living next door was Jane Hermance, widowed, age 57, born in New York. In the 1910 Federal Census of Bloomfield Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin, ED# 133, sheet 12B, the Hermance household listed (Bert and Martha both stated that they had been married for 18 years; Martha stated that she had given birth to 3 living children):

In the 1920 Federal Census of Bloomfield Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin, ED# 144, sheet 5A, Bert listed his age as 50 and his occupation as a "Calf Buyer To Butcher". Martha gave her age as 47, and changed her place of birth to Iowa. Their daughter, Bonnie, age 16 was the only child still listed in the household.
In the 1930 Federal Census of Genoa City, ED# 14, sheet 1A, Bert gave his age as 61 and listed his occupation as a "cattle buyer". Martha listed her age as 58, and corrected her place of birth from Iowa back to Minnesota. Martha stated that she was 19 years old at the time of her marriage, Bert stated that he was 24.

(13.5.10.4) Nathan Henry Dix, was born on 12 March 1878 in Iowa and died on 20 August 1939. Nathan married Anna Dorthea Frieda Sommer on 17 October 1900, she was born on 16 May 1878 in Germany, the daughter of Frank and Louisa Sommer (additional family photos) and died on 10 May 1938.

(13.5.10.4.1) Hilda Dix, was born on 22 October 1901 in Wisconsin and died on 3 June 1982 in California. Hilda married Leland B. Hegeman, he was born on 31 May 1896 in Kenosha County, Wisconsin and died on 20 October 1968 (his parents were Louis and Beatrice Hegeman, 1900 Federal Census). They were married on 22 June 1922, in the 1930 Federal Census they were living on a farm in Burton Township, McHenry County, Illinois. Her obituary:

(13.5.10.4.2) Frank E. "Bunk" Dix, was born on 20 July 1904 in Wisconsin and died on 28 March 1973 in Salem, Kenosha County, Wisconsin. His obituary [parents listed as "Mr. and Mrs. Mason Dix" should read Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Dix]:

(13.5.10.4.3) Lloyd N. "Chuck" Dix, was born on 7 August 1906 in Wisconsin and died on 15 July 1983. He married Minnie Bruenning on 18 September 1927. Lloyd and Minnie were living in Kenosha, Ward 12, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, ED# 27, sheet 27A, in the 1930 Federal Census. He listed his age as 23, occupation, clerk in a brass mill. His wife, Minnie, was age 24, born in Wisconsin, and stated that both her parents were born in Germany. They had no children in 1930, however, they later did have two children, Harold and Darleen.
(13.5.10.4.4) Lester "Happy" Dix, was born on 7 September 1908 in Wisconsin and died on 18 November 1957 at age 49. He married Peggy Stoxen on 24 September 1932, they had one daughter, Judy.
(13.5.10.4.5) Gordon Walter "Torch" Dix, was born on 16 May 1911 in Wisconsin and died on 8 February 1995 in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. He married Bertha Roth on 6 June 1936 in Delavan, Wisconsin. His obituary from the Kenosha News, dated 10 February 1995:
