The following information pertaining to the descendants of Robert Harrison and Henrietta Miller was complied from several sources.  A very big thank you to C.R. "Bob" Harrison of Jefferson County, Iowa for his patience and assistance with this line and thanks also to Paul and Valona Aspy.  Shadrack Harrison was the son of William and Worlenda (Davis) Harrison.  Robert Harrison was a grandson of Shadrack Harrison and the son of William and Susannah Harrison.

14.2.1.1 Laura Harrison, born in about 1867.  She married Thomas McCarthy ca. 1885.


14.2.1.2 Noah Harrison, was born on 10 December 1869 and died on 30 November 1953 in Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa (his middle name may have been Edward, his name was recorded as "Edward Harison" in the 1910 census).  Noah's obituary appeared in the Ottumwa Courier on 30 November 1953.  Noah married Lovie Jane Wood on 6 November 1892, in Wapello County, Iowa.  Lovie died on 23 January 1946 (her obituary), they are both buried in Shaul Cemetery, in Ottumwa, Iowa.  In the 1900 Federal Census of Jefferson Township, Grundy County, Missouri, ED# 52, sheet 10B, enumerated on the 23rd of June, their household listed (Noah and Lovie both stated that they had been married for 7 years, Lovie also stated that she had given birth to 4 living children):

14.2.1.2.1 Ross A. Harrison, was born in December 1893 in Iowa.  Ross was living in Cass Township, Wapello County, Iowa, ED# 6, sheet 2A in the 1930 Federal Census (Eva gave her marital status as widowed):

14.2.1.2.2 Ada P. Harrison, was born in November 1895 in Iowa.  In her mother's obituary in 1946, her name is listed as Mrs. Ada Scully of Ottumwa.  From the 1930 Federal Census of Ottumwa, Wapello County, ED# 17, sheet 20B, address listed as 324 Pocahontas St. (Ada stated that she was age 19 at the time of her marriage, Guy stated that he was 27 years old when married):

14.2.1.2.3 Blanche Edna Harrison, was born on 10 October 1897 in Iowa.  She was listed as Mrs. Blanche Moss of Ottumwa, in both of her parents obituaries.  In the 1920 Federal Census of Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa, ED# 156, sheet 9A, address listed as 425 Weller St., their household listed:

In the 1930 Federal Census of Center Township, Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa, ED# 13, sheet 8A, address listed as 514 N. Weller St., the Moss household listed (Blanche stated that she was age 18 at the time of her marriage, Ralph stated that he was age 25 when married):

14.2.1.2.4 Earl Harrison, was born in January 1900 in Missouri.  His father's obituary stated that Earl died in 1911.


14.2.1.2.5 Edith Harrison, was born in about 1904 in Iowa.  She was age, 15 and living at home with her parents in the 1920 census.  In her mother's obituary in 1946 she is listed as Mrs. Edith Glandon of Bettendorf.  Her father's obituary listed her as Mrs. Edith Glandon of Cedar Rapids.


14.2.1.2.6 Gladys Fern Harrison, was born in about 1907 in Iowa.  Gladys is listed as Mrs. Gladys Steele of Ottumwa in both of her parents obituaries.  The 1930 Federal Census of Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa, ED# 17, sheet 7B listed: "Edd A. Steele", age 28, born in Iowa, occupation listed as a "candy helper" in a candy factory; wife Gladys F., age 23, born in Iowa, no occupation listed, they had no children in 1930.  Ed Steele stated that he was married at age 22, Gladys gave her age at the time of marriage as 17 years old.


14.2.1.2.7 Virgie Harrison, was born in about 1913 in Iowa.  Virgie was still living at home in the 1930 census, she was listed as Mrs. Virgie Baker of Ottumwa in both of her parents obituaries.


14.2.1.3 Ella Ardell Harrison, was born in November 1871 in Iowa.  She married Alonzo Hilbert Dixon on 20 March 1889.  In the 1900 Federal Census of Eagle Township, Macon County, Missouri, ED# 68, sheet 11A, their household listed (Ella and Alonzo both stated that they had been married for 11 years; Ella stated that she had given birth to 4 living children):

14.2.1.3.2 Richard Dixon, was born in August 1892 in Iowa.

14.2.1.3.3 George Dixon, was born in July 1894 in Missouri.

14.2.1.3.4 John Dixon, was born in August 1899 in Oklahoma.

14.2.1.3.5 Willie Dixon, was born in about 1902 in Missouri.

14.2.1.3.6 James Dixon, was born in about 1908 in Missouri.

14.2.1.3.7 Ella Dixon, was born in 1909 in Missouri.


14.2.1.4 Alsina Harrison, was born in about 1874 in Iowa.


14.2.1.5 Nellie Harrison, was born in September 1874 and died on 25 September 1909 in Fairfield, Iowa.  She married Henry Adkins in about 1894.  In the 1900 Federal Census of Fairfield Township, Jefferson County, Iowa, ED# 47, sheet 12B, their household listed (both "Effie" and Henry stated that they had been married for 6 years, "Effie" stated that she had given birth to 3 children, 1 of whom was living):

Nellie did have three more sons before her death in 1909.  Henry had remarried, he enumerated in the 1910 Federal Census living in Center Township, Jefferson County, Iowa, ED# 49, sheets 15A and 15B.  The children listed were: Benjamin, age 13; Harry, age 9; George, age 5 and the youngest son, Earnest, age 4.  Cemetery records from Jefferson County, Iowa listed the following information:

14.2.1.5.1 Benjamin Adkins, was born in September 1896 in Iowa.


14.2.1.5.2 Harry Adkins, was born in about 1901 in Iowa.  Harry was married and living in Third Ward, Fairfield City, Jefferson County, Iowa, ED# 8, sheet 11B in the 1930 Federal Census.  He stated that he was married at age 24, his age was now 29, occupation was listed as a laborer at odd jobs.  His wife, Helen, age 25, born in Iowa; daughter, Dorothy, age 4 2/12; daughter, Helen, age 7/12; and brother Earnest, age 24, occupation laborer were all listed in the household.


14.2.1.5.3 George Adkins  was born in about 1905 in Iowa.  George was soaking up the sunshine in the 1930 Federal Census of Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii, ED# 133, sheet 17A.  He was age 25, occupation enlisted soldier.


14.2.1.5.4 Ernest Adkins, was born in about 1906 in Iowa.  Ernest was single and living with his brother Harry in the 1930 census.


14.2.1.6 Arthur Harrison, was born in February 1879 in Iowa.  His name was recorded as William Arthur" in the 1880 census, however he was listed as Arthur in his mother's household in the 1900 census (see above).  He was listed as Arthur Harrison of Dallas, Texas in his older brother Noah Harrison's obituary in 1953.


14.2.1.7 Gertrude Harrison, was born on 5 September 1881 in Iowa.


14.2.1.8 Charles Harrison, was born on 20 February 1884 in Iowa.  Listed as Charles Harrison of Denver in his brother Noah Harrison's obituary in 1953.  I have not located Charles in the 1910 or 1920 census.  In the 1930 Federal Census he was enumerated living in Denver City, District J,  Denver County, Colorado, ED# 93, sheet 8B:

14.2.1.9 Evelena Harrison, was born in October 1886 in Iowa.  In the 1910 Federal Census, Evelena was recorded as Evelena Dilley in her mother's household (her husband was not listed).  In the 1920 Federal Census, they were enumerated living in Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa, ED# 150, sheets 7A and 7B:
