Charles Skaggs

was born about 1730 and died January 1816 in Green County, Kentucky. He married Betsy (Lucy) Thompson. Charles Skaggs was one of the "Long Hunters". He served in the Cherokee Indian Wars under Col John Chevillette. He was the son of James Skaggs and Rachel Moredock(?) . Charles died in 1816 and his will is recorded in Green County, Kentucky, WB1, p.137. Children were:
