Article Daily Humboldt Times, Eureka, 13 Jun 188430 In the death of Mrs. Sarah Nixon, in Arcata, notice of which appears in another column, another one of the pioneer ladies of Humboldt has taken her farewell of earth. Deceased, with her husband and family, was among the earliest settlers of Uniontown, now Arcata, where she lived continuously from 1852 up to the time of her death. A large family of children, grand-children and great-grand-children will mourn her loss in Arcata. She died at the home of her only son, Wm. Nixon, in whose home she had been a long and patient sufferer. She will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. to-day, alongside of her husband, who was drowned 26 years ago in Mad River. 74
