to IL where most of their 8 children were born in Athensville,
Greene Co., IL. Bruce B. Edwards is a descendant.

born ca 1838, believed to have died in infancy.

4. Sarah
"Sally" Magill Daugherty, born 1 Jan 1840, KY,
died 4 Dec 1732, Dallas, TX; married Meredith Carroll Longley
(son of Robert Longley of Maine and KY) 1 Jan 1862, Burnet, Burnet
Co., TX. Linda Longley is a descendant.
5. John Mar
Daugherty, born 1842, had military service as 4th Corp.,
Frontier Guard, CSA. He was no doubt named Mar for our immigrant
ancestor, Michael Mor Daugherty.
6. James Knox
Polk "Jim" Daugherty, born 1 Sep 1844, KY, married
Martha Hanna Lashbrooks, whose brother George W. Lashbrooks
married Jim's sister Martha Frances "Fanny" Daugherty.
He was a Mason, had military service in CSA (his widow drew a
Confederate Widow's Pension), was "many years" a Burnet
Co. Commissioner for Pct. 4, and died on 23 Jun 1916 at Marble
Falls, Burnet Co., at age 71; burial in Marble Falls City Cemetery.
7. Mary Louisa
Daugherty was born Aug 1846, KY, married M. Henry COLEMAN
on 26 Jul 1863 at Burnet Co., TX; she and sister Sarah M. Daugherty
received legacies in estate of their aunt, Mrs. Sallie Magill,
of Lincoln Co., KY on 27 Jan 1864 at Burnet Co., TX.
8. Elizabeth
Laura "Bettie" Daugherty, born 6 Dec 1848 at Stanford,
Lincoln Co., KY. She appeared on the census of 13 Aug 1850 at
Lincoln Co., KY (daughter, age 3) and on the census of 6 Jul
1860 at Burnet, Burnet Co., TX (daughter, age 13). She appeared
on the census of 2 Aug 1870 at Burnet, Burnet Co., TX (daughter,
age 22). She married Robert Anderson TATE on 21 Dec 1870
at Burnet Co., TX (his 2nd wife), and died 13 Feb 1926 at Dallas,
Dallas Co., TX, at age 77. She was the only survivor of last
Indian massacre circa 1865 at Brownwood, Brown Co., TX. Cathy
Hendon is a descendant.

9. Martha
Frances Daugherty, my great-grandmother, born 17 Apr 1850
at Longing, Lincoln Co., KY. She married (1) George W. Lashbrooks
in Sep 1867 at Burnet Co., TX (1st husb, assumed dead, was never
seen again after he went off with a posse chasing him circa 1870
at Burnet, TX). She married (2), as Mrs. Lashbrooks, John
Alfred ROSS, son of James Whitaker ROSS and Sarah E. J. ROCHELLE,
on 6 Sep 1877 at Burnet, Burnet Co., TX (his 3rd wife). John
A. received a Confederate pension and after his death she received
a Confederate widow's pension. Fanny and John A. are buried in
the Old Burnet Cemetery.
10. Robert Henry
"Bob" Daugherty, born 19 Nov 1851 at Longing, Lincoln
Co., KY, married Alice Cora ROBERTS on 31 Dec 1882 at
Burnet Co, TX. He died on 29 Aug 1925 at Burnet Co., age 73.
He and Alice are buried in the Toby Cemetery N.W. of Marble Falls,
Burnet Co.
11. Eliza Ann
Daugherty, born 7 May 1853 at Lincoln Co., KY, married John
B. LOWE on 10 Jun 1874 at Burnet Co., TX (2nd wife). She
died on 21 Jun 1919 at age 66.
12. Child died
in infancy, probably ca 1855 in KY. In 1900 census Agnes
said she had given birth to two children not living.
13. Child died
in infancy, born in TX, second of two Agnes said in 1900
census she had borne but were not living, is probably the infant
buried in the stone enclosure with Agnes and Hiram's graves in
Old Burnet Cemetery.
14. William
Jasper "Bill" Daugherty, born 24 May 1860 at Burnet
Co., TX. He married Mary Catherine FISHER, daughter of
Alexander "Zan" FISHER and Sarah Jane FRY, on 26 Oct
1882 at Burnet Co., TX. He died on 13 Nov 1953 at Burnet, TX,
at age 93.
15. Dorcas Daugherty,
born 1862 at Burnet Co., TX. She married John Wesley RANDALL
on 13 Oct 1880 at Burnet Co., TX. They are buried in Toby Ceme.,
Burnet Co.
16. Harriett
Elizabeth "Hattie" Daugherty, born in 1864 at Burnet,
TX, married Winfield Washington "Wash" SAMFORD
on 15 Sep 1886 at Burnet. She died on 15 Jan 1906. They are buried
at Pebble Mound Ceme., Burnet Co.
