Madaline Rocque is the daughter of the mixed-blood (French & unknown Native tribe) trapper/trader Dennis Robinson and a Mdewakanton woman from Little Crow's band.
She was born around 1810 in Minnesota Territory.(now the St. Paul, MN area) Around 1838 she arrived in the Wapashaw area (now Wabasha, MN) with her family.
She marries Joseph Rocque in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin on 15 Jun 1837.

She appears on the 8th Federal Census on 30 Jun 1860:

Children listed are Baptist, age 20; Mathilda, ago 14, Josephine age 12, Leander, age 5; Felix, age 1.

Only child listed is Felix, 12 yr. old male Indian.
According to St. Felix church records, Wabasha, Minnesota records, Madeline Rocque's husband, Joseph Rocque, dies in Buffalo County, Wisconsin on 20 Feb 1875.
On 10 Feb 1876, Adeline Rock, widow of Joseph Rock, purchases 80 acres of homstead land. [S½ - SE - 8 - 22- 12] in Buffalo County, Wisconsin.
The given name listed was spelled Adaline with the second "a" crossed out and corrected with an "e."
Land description: "South half of the South East quarter of Section eight; in Township twenty two of Range twelve West; in the District of Lands subject to sale at La Crosse Wisconsin containing Eighty acres;"

On 26 Feb 1876 the land is deeded the 80 acres to Charles Ebersold, Jr.

Madaline Rocque is listed on the 1889 (Prairie Island Settlement) supplement to the 1886 Loyal Mdewakanton census.
She is living at the time in the household of her daughter-in-law, Susan Rocque, the widow of Felix Rocque.
Felix is the youngest child of Madaline and Joseph Rocque.
On 13 Apr 1904 Mrs. Joseph (Madaline) Rocque dies at the home of her daughter, Josephine (Rocque) Ebersold in town of Tell, Buffalo County, Wisconsin.
