Estimated date of birth is based on his recorded age (10) on the 1850 Federal Census for District 1, Wabashaw County, Territory of Minnesota.
Estimated date of death is base on his exclusion from his father's sworn testimony in August 1855.
He would have been 15 years old in 1855.
His siblings Jean Baptiste, Mathilda, Joseph and Leander were listed.
The testimony was taken to obtain "Mixed Blood" scrip in lieu of treaty promised land that would enable the father to purchase other available federal land.
Died before leaving any children or descendants.
2. Jean Baptiste Rocque (born about 1842, died 14 Aug 1862)
Estimated date of birth is based on his baptismal record and 1850 Federal Census.
Baptised 6 Feb 1842 in the St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
His age was recorded as 9 years in the 1850 Federal Census for District No. 1, County of Wabashaw, Territory of Minnesota.
His age was recorded as 13 in 1855 when the father submitted his affidavit for "Mixed Blood" script.
His date of death was taken from Civil War death records for the 5th Mn Infantry. Cause of death was illness.
Died before leaving any children or descendants.
3. Mathilda Rocque Ebersold Campbell (born about 1844, died 1 Jan 1889)
4. Josephine Rocque Ebersold (born about 1847, died 21 Apr 1932)
5. Leander Rocque (born 24 Jun 1854, died before 1865)
Baptised as Leon Rock on 15 July 1854 by Missionary A. Ravoux of Mendota during a downriver visit to French communities on the Mississippi River.
Baptismal Record on Page 31, Number 43, Archdiocease of Saint Paul and Minneapolis archives states the following:
Date of birth: 24 June 1854, Parent names - Joseph and Madeleine Roberson, Godparents names - Augustin Rock and Mrs. Rock
[could be either his aunt and uncle or grandparents].
Remarks on certificate: Resident of Wabasha. Name sometimes spelled Rocque.
Estimated date of death is base on his exclusion from the 1865 state of Minnesota census.
He is recorded as Layon [phonetic for Leon] age 5, on the 1860 Federal Cenus for County of Wabasha, State of Minnesota.
He is not listed with family on the 1865 state of Minnesota census. He would have been about 10 years old in 1865.
Died before leaving any children or descendants.
