An index transcription gives them as George Ramsey and Sarah Philluck.^1,5 George Ramsey appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at Great Warley, Essex England, as Head, married, age 28, birthplace Great Burstead, and he was a Gardener.² He appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex England, as Head, married, age 38, birthplace Great Burstead, and he was a Watchmaker.⁶ He was listed in the Post Office Directory of Essex 1874 in the Commercial Section at Billericay as Watch and Clockmaker.⁷ He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at High Street, Great Burstead, Essex England, as Head, married, age 47, birthplace Great Burstead, and he was a Watchmaker.⁸ He was listed in the Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1882 at Billericay as Watch and Clockmaker. Trading was continued according to Trade Directories in his name after his death later in 1886.⁹ He died on 7 April 1886 at Essex England; and his death was recorded at Billericay Registration district in the June quarter 1886.^10,5
