Ann J. and Sarah J., dau. Connie and sons Michael and Alex' on 12 January 1870.⁹ She appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 20 Warwick Road, Paddington, London England, as Head, age 60, widowed, 'Retired Merchant', birthplace Portsmoruth, Hampshire.¹⁰ She died on 22 January 1875 at 20 Warwick Road, Maida Hill, London England; and the following announcement was published:

     'Death 22.1.1875 at her residence 20 Warwick Road, Maida Hill, relict of the late Moss J. Jacob of Falmouth, aged 63 years. Beloved and respected by all who knew her'.^11,12
