     William Blamire was christened on 10 February 1802 at Dalston, Cumberland, England, and his parents were Robert Blamire and Elizabeth Liddle.2,3 He was listed as 'Blamire William', Farmer, in History, Directory & Gazetteer of Cumberland & Westmorland, 1829, Kendal District.4 He married Mary Liddle on 19 May 1836 at Greystoke, Cumberland, England, and they had several children including Robert, the inheritor of Cumdivock, and Thomas who was an Evangelist Preacher.2,5,6,7 William Blamire appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at Little Bampton, Kirkbampton, Cumberland, England, as age 38, birthplace Cumberland and he was a Farmer, living with his wife and three children.8 He appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Little Bampton, Kirkbampton, Cumberland, England, as Head, age 50, birthplace Darston, Cumberland, and he was a Farmer of 80? Acres of Land. He was living with his wife Mary, and children: Elizabeth 13, Robert 11, John 10, Joseph 6, William 4 and Thomas 2.
