Hi Irene,

I am searching for a Joseph Xavier Hearst born around 1890 probably February 29 who said he was born in Lynchburg, VA and his father's name was Paul Edward Luke Martin Hearst. He also claimed his father died when he was 12 or 13 years age, which would put his father's death around 1902/03. Joe lived in New York and Galvaston, TX writing music. He moved Winnipeg, Manitoba around 1919 and married a McAuley. He eventually built up a musical publishing empire called Hearst Music Publishers and was charged with stealing $385,000 among other things, spending from 1926 to 1929 in Stoney Mountain jail in Manitoba. He had three children. Of his birth, parentage that's all I know. Nothing more. Of his whereabouts after the 30's I know nothing. I would like to know if you have him in your family tree. His grandchildren are living here in Carleton Place, Ontario. Thanks for looking this up!

Subject: Laura MacAleese's email

Hello Irene... I saw your MacAleese website tonight - I too am researching the MacAleese line... I am doing James, the brother of John (Laura's) line... I tried emailing her but it was returned.  Do you happen to know how to get in touch with her??  Look forward hearing from you.

Hi Laura and Irene,

My name is Elizabeth Devlin-my grandfather was William James McAleese although it has been spelled other ways. The spelling that the current McAleese's use is McLees-I have just started tracing my grandfather and this is what I know for sure. William McAleese Senior married Elizabeth Graham in 1869 in Ireland (Elizabeth gave place of marriage as Tannubreeck on one of her children's birth cert) This I can't find and think maybe it is a church. Anyway my cousin says my grandfather was born in Balleycastle, others in the family say Ballymena. Wm.Sr. his wife E. and son William James born 1874 in Ireland went to Lanarkshire Scotland - Coatbridge to be exact. They were found in the 1891 census. After arriving in Scotland they had three more Children-Alexander, Rachel and Margaret (who died as an infant) I have not yet found a birth certificate for Rachel - she was 6 in 1891 - and Alex was 11. Elizabeth's parents were James Graham and Rachel McLure.

I know this doesn't exactly fit into your trees but I was extremely impressed with your web site and wanted to pass this on - I may be going to Ireland in early July. I'm going home to Scotland for sure, and my cousins tell me a ferry will take us there in 30 min. I have alot more info on my branch of the McAleese tree and if required I would be happy to pass it on - Also have you checked the LDS website??

Regards,Elizabeth Devlin

Subject: McAleece

Hi,

Saw your web site.  My g-g-grandmother was Isabelle or Bella McAleece or McAlice.  She married William John Berryman in the late 1850s in Derry.  They moved to Camden, New Jersey in the 1868 time frame.

I've been able to make progress on the Berryman family, but not on Bella's.
