Samuel Scott, Jr. [Parents] ¹ was born ^{2, 3} on 14 Feb 1820 in Niles, Cayuga Co, New York. He died ⁴ on 30 Aug 1888 in Greenwich, Huron Co, Ohio. He married ⁵ Jane about 1843 in Ohio.

he and his family joined the Methodist Episcopal Church in Scott, accompanying remarks indicate that he would "need looking after"
accompanied parents to Ohio and got married, moved back to Scott by late 1845, remaining until after 1880, before returning with all of his family (except daughter Permelia, who had married Edward Mott) to Ohio
