Asa Showing Off His Gross Motor Skills, 4/9/07

So there's nothing like a baby pulling up to make you realize how much more there is to babyproof! My coffee cup has had multiple near misses now...

Asa is still waking up to cry hysterically for 2 consecutive hours every night, usually between 2 and 4 am. I am soliciting suggestions now. Nothing we do seems to be a solution (although patting him and feeding him both sometimes work). Both Jess and I are suffering from serious sleep deprivation. I think we'll be going back to the doctor's offices today, but I don't really expect anything. They are saying that it is a result of schedule disruption in the hospital. I don't really buy that at this point.

  • lie down on a couch or the floor in the same room he is until he goes to sleep after the night feed

If it is warm he may be too hot and need water

  • Very impressive rolling over! Wow!!!! He is such a person - when did that happen? Such personality. Does he ever stop smiling? Obviously he does - between 2-4!

I don't have any good advice for you about making a baby sleep - maybe a glass of red wine at dinner would help him. It often helps me.

    JOKING!!!
