Mrs John B Roby
Rushsylvania--Mrs Ella Susannah Roby, 90, formerly of Rushsylvania RR1,
died at 9:50 pm Sunday in the home of
a daughter, Mrs Russell Harsh, with whom she resided at Bellefontaine RR
2. Ill three months, she had been in
the daughter's home since July. Her husband, John B, died June 17, 1957.
Born Jan 22, 1873, near Leesville (Carroll County) she was the daughter
of Rev. Josiah M and Susannah Campbell
Pou;tpn. She came to Logan County in 1904 and was a member of the
Rushsylvania Methodist Church.
Surviving are Mrs Harsh; another daughter, Mrs Huber Miller of
Rushsylvania RR 1; 3 sons, Carl E of Manton,
Mich., Ralph D of Marion and Williard D of Rushsylvania RR1; 21
grandchildren, and great and
great-great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in the Wendell Swope
Funeral Home in Belle Center. Rev.
Lusious L Argoue will officiate. Burial will be at Rushsylvania. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 7

and she survives.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs Harvey (Lena) Elliot, Belle Center;
Mrs Harold (Rosella) Oder, Tower; Mrs
Thomas (Virginia) Fergus, 413 N Main, Bellefontaine; Mrs Alfred (Viola)
Smith, Petoskey, Mich.; Mrs Bud
(Marcella) Clament, Piqua, and Mrs Phyllis Hacker, Urbana; four sons,
Paul and Walter, both of McBain, Mich.;
Harold, Beuna, Texas, and Orville, Rushsylvania; two brothers, Ralph,
Marion, and Williard, Rushsylvania; a sister,
Mrs Martha Miller, Rushsylvania; 39 grandchildren; several
great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister are deceased.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 am at the Chagnon Funeral Home,
Onaway, Michigan.
