Writing the history of a town that you didn't live in during the time period is like looking at a baseball game through a knothole in the outfield fence... you don't see everything, you're too far away to hear much but it's still pretty exciting. In trying to relate the story it is possible to make errors AND it is also possible that two people remember things differently. Not unlike the game kids play called "rumors" time changes memories and the story grows. It may take several points of view to get the job done so just remember that these stories are from some individuals point of view and they may have seen the ballgame from a different knothole than we did.
