4. Henry A. Thornton was born about 1795 in ?, Ohio. He died about 1823. Probably around 1823, age 25-30, Henry died as Baldwin Co Court of Ordinary, in Nov 1823, shows beginning of administration on his estate following his death. Further official records in inventory, estate, and sale of estate, confirm that he was a tailor. The estate lists items of equipment and trade items as tailor's irons, looms, needles, thread, buttons, and large amounts of various materials for vesting, padding, shirting, etc. in addition to normal husehold furniture, dishes, etc. A negro woman - Winny - is listed at $150 value. Inventory value was $1768.12. Total estate value was $2197.59. He was married to Anne Bignell on Aug 25 1815 in Richmond County, Georgia. Henry and Ann are shown on 1820 census in Baldwin Co, GA, pg ? with 2 boys under 10 years.
The GA land lottery of 1832 indicates orphans of Henry Thornton of Harris Co, GA, receive land in Cherokee Co, GA.
Anne Bignell was born about 1797 in ?,Virginia. She died in Oct 1857.

He was married to Elizabeth Catherine Warren (daughter of Arthur Warren and Martha Patsy St. John) in Nov 1846 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. In 1870, Henry and family moved to the Wilson Valley area, Bell Co, TX. Henry was a farmer, and for a time, Justice of the Peace. Elizabeth Catherine Warren was born on Dec 25 1829 in Cannon County, Tennessee. She died on May 12 1888 in Bell County, Texas.
