Hans Huber is our first authenticated ancestor in this line. He was born between 1670-1675, in Switzerland and came to Pennsylvania about 1710. He married, in Switzerland, Margaret Koch/Cook.Hans died after 1745/46, Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. They had one son and several daughters, Catharine, Magdalene, Margarethe,Christiana, Anna.(Huber-Hoover Family History by Harry M. Hoover, 1928)
Jacob Hover, s/o Hans Huber was born before 1710, in Switzerland and came to the colonies with his parents. The name of his first wife is not known to me at this time, the second wife was Anna ___. Jacob's will dated 29 July 1759, proved 12 September 1792, Lancaster Co. PA. Jacob left property to his wife for her lifetime or until her remarraige, then it was to go to his children. His wife, Anna, was in the 1790 census in Martic, Lancaster Co. PA. as Widow Huber.
Children of Jacob and his first wife are given in the Huber-Hoover History, 1928 as: Anna married Yost Kendrick, Barbara married Philip Stetzler, Maria married Jacob Eberly, John married Margaret, Martin, Margaret married John Winter. Children of Jacob and Anna ___ are given as:

Mary Magdalene Huber/Hoover ,d/o Jacob Hover, was a minor in 1759 when her father made his will. She was born in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania and died before 12 December 1812, probably in Greene Co. Tennessee. She married about 1765, probably in Lancaster Co., no record has been located, to Adam G'Fellers

GeFellers, G'Fellers

Johannes GeFeller arrived at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , 5 October 1737 on the ship Billinder Townsend, Thomas Thompson, Master, from Amsterdam, a Palantine. (information of Ruth Neumayer)

Adam G'Feller born in Germany and died in Greene Co. Tennessee. Adam came to America on the ship "Charm Nancy". It left Rotterdam, arrived in America at Plymouth, then Philadelphia on 8 October 1737. The day he arrived Adam took the Oath of Allegiance to Great Britain and the Province of Pennsylvania. In 1785 he was living in Shenandoah Co., Virginia. He probably arrived in Greene Co., Tennessee between 1785 and 1805, when two of his sons, Abraham and Jacob are on the Tax List for Greene Co. The Fellers (G'Fellers, GeFellers) lived in the Horse Creek area of Greene Co., on Fellers Road adjacent to Adam's son-in-law Conrad Barnhart.
Adam married Mary Magdalene Huber in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. She probably died before April 1813 as she is not mentioned in Adam's will. His will is dated 29 December 1812, probated 27 April 1813. It names the following children:

By 1836 most of the children of Adam and Magdalene GeFeller had moved to Limestone Co. Alabama. (Information of Krista Fox of Greenville TN.)


Conrad Barnhart was born in the Rhine River area, at that time called the Palantate, Germany about 1750. He arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 15 August 1774 on the snow "Sally" . He was 24 years old and indentured to Aaron Marsden of Chester Co. Pennsylvania. Conrad ran away from Marsden the next year.
He served in the militia of Cumberland Co. Pennsylvania in 1777. Served in Revolutionary War, 1781-1783 as a private in the Cumberland Co.Militia. He lived at East Pennsboro Township. About 1780 he married Barbara GeFeller, d/o Adam GeFeller.
On 12 May 1795 Conrad purchased land from Andrew Fox, Greene Co. Tennessee. He and Barbara lived on this land the rest of their lives. Their home was in Horse Creek Valley, below Chuckey, where Earnest Road intersects with Chuckey Pike. A neighbor of Conrad's was Benjamin Seaton, another Revolutionary veteran, whose children would marry three of Conrad's children. Conrad died between the dating of his will 14 April 1828 and the probate of his will 12 November 1828. Barbara died after his will was written. They are said to be buried on their farm in Horse Creek Valley, but no graves have been located. Conrad and Barbara had 16 children who lived to be adults.

Adam Barnhart born about 1785, probably Shenandoah Co. Virginia. He was living in 1840 in Stoddard Co. Missouri. He married Elizabeth Broyles, 28 October 1806, Greene Co. Tennessee.

Sarah Barnhart married 5 September 1815, Greene Co. Tennessee, to Ezekiel Fox. They lived in Greene Co.
Abraham Barnhart married first, 7 November 1823, Mary Ann White, Married second ca 1876, Hester Burnham. He died 28 June 1880, Osage Co. Missouri.
