(1a) 1725/6, 5 Feb: Lt. Jonathan HILL of Hartford, Connecticut wrote his will. Gives to wife Doroth y and daughter Dorothy, wife of Caleb PITKIN. Gives to grandson David, son of my son David HI LLS, age the age of 21 years, the sum of 5 pounds. Gives the residue of estate, real and pers onal, to sons Jonathan HILLS and David HILLS, to be equally divided between them, and makes t hem executors.

Give residue of my estate, real and persona l, to be equally divided amongst my daughters, Esther PITKIN, Ann HILLS, Dorothy ROBERTS, Hannah OLCOT, Deborah PITKIN and Elizabeth PITKIN, only it is to be understood that what my daughters Ann HILLS, Dorothy ROBERTS and Hannah OLCOT have already received shall be reckoned to each of them. Appoints son David HILLS, William PITKIN and wife Elizabeth PITKIN executors.

(1b) (undated, after 1733, Jun): In the estate of Nathaniel PITKIN of Hartford: Articles o f agreement concluded between David HILLS and Anne his wife, Benjamin ROBERTS and Dorothy his wife, Nathaniel OLCOTT and Hannah his wife, and Elizabeth PITKIN (daughter of Mr. Nathaniel PITKIN, late of Hartford, deceased), all of Hartford, Connecticut, for the dividing of the estate of our sister Esther PITKIN, late of Hartford aforesaid, deceased on 27 Feb 1732/3, and also for dividing of the estate of our sister Deborah PITKIN, late of Hartford, who deceased on 14 Jun 1733. We do each of us above mentioned acknowledge we have received to out full satisfaction our respective parts and shares of the moveable estate, part of the aforesaid estate , and we do now agree that each of the surviving heirs shall have their part of the real estate. And for full confirmation of all the foregoing articles of agreement, I, Elizabeth PITKIN of Hartford, guardian to Elizabeth PITKIN, by and with the advice of Ozias PITKIN, Esq., an d William PITKIN, have hereunto set our hands and seals.
