3.  JOHN3 MACKAY (DONALD2, JOHN1) was born 1839 in East Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, and died 4 Jan 1923 of a heart attack. in Milton, Norfolk County, Ma.  He married LYDIA SMITH 12 May 1870 in Wine Harbour, Guysborough, Nova Scotia, daughter of JAMES SMITH and MARTHA RHUDE.

John is buried at Milton Cemetery, Milton MA, Lot 9, Larch, in front of lot#1406, this plot was assigned to him and his family by James R. Malcolm

The census shows John and family in Wine Harbor, Guysborough, Nova Scotia in 1871 and in East Lake Ainslee, Inverness, Nova Scotia in 1881.

 4.  ALAN4 MCKAY (JOHN3 MACKAY, DONALD2, JOHN1) was born 22 Aug 1878 in Nova Scotia, Canada, and died 16 Feb 1962  of chronic heart disease and aspiration pneumonia in Quincy, Norfolk County, Ma.  He married MARION LOUISE HOLMES 29 Apr 1916 in Milton, Norfolk County, MA, daughter of FRED HOLMES and ALICE FISH.

Marion died on Valentines Day and husband Allen two days later.

Allen is buried in Lot 6, 1406 Larch, Milton Cemetery, Milton MA, burial rights assigned to his father John McKay and family

Marriage and Naturalization papers shows "McKay". Death record shows "MacKay" as spelling.

Naturalization: 1 Mar 1951, Boston, Suffolk County, Ma

Birth certificate show spelling as "McKay, baptism and all other records show "MacKay".  Richard's remains are buried with his mother Marion in Lot 9E, Oak Ave., Milton Cemetery, The plot is owned by the Estate of Henry F.
