This section of my website covers my Scottish ancestry and relatives. In 1909, my great-grandmother, Jane Muirhead 'Jean' Forrest, sailed from Glasgow to the United States to marry my great-grandfather, John MacKie Whyte. The couple had met in Scotland and stayed in touch through the long years since John had immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1905.
