The Daniel(s) surname
My earliest Daniel ancestor was William Daniel, a plantation owner from Delaware. His wife was Sarah Postles, daughter of Thomas Postles. Two of William and Sarah's grandsons, Joshua and James, moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. James kept the earlier family surname of Daniel, while Joshua used the Daniels spelling.
