About 1679/80 he married Mary WHITMARSH, daughter
of John WHITMARSH Jr., and Sarah HARDING.
Mary was born on August 14th 1663 in
Weymouth. She died on 21 December 1715 in
Weymouth.
They had the

born on 21 January 1680/81 in Weymouth, MA.
- John BATES was
born about 1683 in Weymouth and died on 17 September
1746.
- Ebenezer Bates
was born on 01 March 1686 in Weymouth. He
married Catherine Arnold about 1710.
- Mary Bates was
born about 1689 in Weymouth. She married
Ephraim Burrill sometime after 07 March
1712/13, which is when their marriage intentions
were posted.
- Samuel Bates was
born in 1693 in Weymouth and died on April 8th,
1752. He married first Grace Richards
about 1710. He married second Hannah Ward
of Hingham after 18 September 1725, probably.
- Anna Bates was
born on August 23rd, 1695 in Weymouth.
- Sarah Bates was
born about 1697 in Weymouth and died their on 24
March 1740. She married Ephraim Richards
on 17 May 1720 in Weymouth.
- Ruth Bates was
born on 09 July 1700 in Weymouth.
- Judith Bates was
born about 1702 in Weymouth and died there in
1759. She married Aaron Renouf on 07
January 1724/25 in Weymouth.
