John Stilts and Ida Long c. 189060. John C. STILTS was born on 07 August 1859 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH.  He appeared in his father's household on the 1860 census on 11 July 1860 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH.  He appeared on the 1870 census on 15 July 1870 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH.  John appeared on the 1880 census with his grandfather Henry H. Stilts on 01 June 1880 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH and listed his occupation as farm laborer. 

On December 31st, 1888 John C. Stilts obtained a marriage license in Noble Co., OH.  He was married to Ida A. LONG (daughter of William A. LONG and Susannah STONEBURNER) the next day on 01 January 1889 in Noble Co., OH.  . Ida A. LONG was born on 27 January 1864 in Noble Co., OH.  They soon started their family.  He was a Farmer in Jun 1900 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH. He was a Farmer from Jun 1900 to Apr 1933 in Beaver Twp., Noble Co., OH. John appeared as the head of a household on the 1900 census on 01 June 1900, the 1910 census and the 1920 census on 08 January 1920 in Noble Co., OH.  The 1910 Census states that John and Ida had 5 children, of which 4 were living on 15 April 1910.  John worked as a farmer his whole life, raising crops for the local market and tobacco for sale overseas.  It is believed that John and Ida inherited the Long family farm, located in Yoker Valley, after her father William LONG died in 1900.  

John died at home on 05 April 1933 from a heart attack in Beaver Twp., Noble Co., OH.  He was buried on 07 April 1933 in at St. John's Cemetery in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH.  Ida died on 04 June 1951 in Quaker City, Guernsey Co., OH and was buried on 06 June 1951 in St. John's Cemetery.

John C. STILTS and Ida A. LONG had the following children:

child126 i. Countess May Stilts was born on 21 July 1889 in Wayne Twp., Noble Co., OH.  She died soon after birth and was buried at St. John's Cemetery.
