Peter "Pete" born February 6, 1852 in Whitley County,Kentucky and died October 31, 1937 in the home of his daughter Martha Ellen and Grandson Willard Loveless, Pulaski County, West Somerset, Kentucky. Son of Pvt. James Madison Sr. & Delia "Dilley" Davis Hinkle. Grandson of William Hinkle and Susannah Treadway and Great Grandson of Michael Jr. & Nancy Haggins Hinkle and GG Grandson of Michael Sr. and Rebecca "Spurgin" Hinkle and 3rd Grandson of Rev. Anthony Jacob & Maria Elizabeth "Dentzer" Henckel/Hinkle. Peter married Margaret Elizabeth Jones on February 16, 1872 in the home of her parents.Margaret "Peg" Elizabeth "Jones" Hinkle was born September 29, 1845 in Whitley County,Kentucky and died October 14, 1935 in the home of her daughter Martha Ellen and Grandson Willard Loveless. Margaret "Peg" is the daughter of Simon Peter Jr. & Elizabeth "Haley" Jones and granddaughter of Simon Sr. & Selector "Creekmore" Jones and Great Granddaughter of William Sr. & Sara "Winters" Jones. Peter "Pete" and Margaret "Peg" had 9 children: James Madison {1873-1960}, Mary Elizabeth{1875-1958},Della H.{1877-1965}, Simon Peter{1880-1948}, William McClancy{1882-1954}, Martha Ellen{1884-1972}, Rachel{1889-1973}, Lewis{1894-1896}, Lawrence Roscoe{1896-1943}.
