Steely Cemetery

ELISHA HINKLE, BORN SEPT 15 1855, DIED AUG 5 1881, engravement on the headstone. Elisha is the son of James Madison Sr. & Delia "Dilley" Davis Hinkle, Elisha was born in Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky. Elisha married Jimima Meadows, the only recorded child I have is Pleasant Hinkle born December 23 1877 in Whitley County, Kentucky and died June 22 1945 in Whitley County, Kentucky, married Mary Sue Steely daughter of James Harrison & Sarah (Inman) Steely.

Their children as I have them in order Elisha's grandchildren are: Cora (Jess Prewitt), Daniel (Mary) Daniel was a minister, William N., Vasco, Lonnie, Charlie, Sye, and Curtis. Pleasant and Mary Sue and Daniel his wife Mary and Sye, Vasco, William, Curtis as I know I have their headstone in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery to visit the section click on the NEXT button below. The picture was taken on Saturday September 17, 2005, I was attending the James Madison Hinkle Sr's Family Reunion at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery picnic shelter area. I had a wonderful time in fellowship with my Hinkle Family, my first time visit. The reunion is held every 3rd Saturday in September, Lord willing I will be attending next year 2006. Elisha is laying right of his mother headstone Delia "Dilley" Davis Hinkle.
