William & Elizabeth "Newland" Smittle are sitting and son of William & Elizabeth Joseph J. and his wife Rosetta Ruth Smittle and their daughter Violet. William born October 26, 1823 in Adams County,West Union,Ohio & Elizabeth "Newland" Smittle born May 24, 1828 in Adams County,Ohio and Joseph born October 17, 1870 in Vernon Township, Scioto County, Ohio & died June 26 1965 in Scioto County, Portsmouth, Ohio. Rosetta was born February 4, 1868 Scioto Township, Scioto County,Ohio and died December 24, 1979 in Raleigh County, Beckley, West Virginia. I am assumming the Studio was United States View Co. in Waterloo,Ohio by S.H. Davis, M'G' R., picture was taken in the 1904 or 1905. Picture given to me! {Lisa} by Col.
