 
  James Madison Hinkle born January 11, 1873 in Whitley County, Kentucky died April 3, 1960 in Miami County, Laura, Ohio, son of Peter "Pete" & Maragert Elizabeth "Peg" Jones Hinkle, Grandson of James Madison & Delia "Dilly" Davis Hinkle & Great Grandson of William & Susannah "Susan" Treadway Hinkle & 2nd Great Grandson of Michael "Micha" Jr. & Nancy Haggins Hinkle & 3rd Great Grandson of Michael "Micha" Sr, & Rebecca "Spurgin" Hinkle & 4th Great Grandson of Anthony Jacob II & Anna Margaret "GROFF" her name 2nd marriage after the death of Anthony Jacob II Hinkle & 5th Great Grandson of Rev. Anthony Jacob & Marie Elizabeth "Dentzer" Henckel/Hinkle. James (24 yrs. old} married Samatha Luverria "Vernie" Harmon {14 yrs.old} on April 18, 1897 in Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky, daughter of Israel Putman & Mary Elizabeth "McKeehan" Harmon. Samatha was born September 18, 1882 and died June 10, 1946. As for the S.S. Harmon on the marriage bond cannot for my life understand how the clerk J. C. Lovitt got S.S. for Samatha Luverria, but back in those days spelling was a problem as so today times, we got computers an we still make errors LOL!
