 
 William is the son of Moses Robert & Mary "Grandstaff" Howard. Mary "Polly" Siders is the daughter of Michael & Susannah "Aignor" Siders. William & Mary was united in marriage on March 8, 1828 in Monroe County, Virginia. When Willaim died he left Mary "Polly" is the care of Moses, Abner and John & Mary Howard. Moses and Abner were Civil War Veterans-First in the Confederate and later in the Northern Federal. John was captured by the Confederates and placed in Libby Prison, released at he end of the War.
